Foucher de Chartres

Fulcher left for the Holy Land in 1096, entered the service of Baldwin of Boulogne and became his chaplain in Jerusalem until 1112. He seems to have obtained a position in one of the churches in Jerusalem where he taught until his death. He wrote an account of the first crusade, the Historia Hierosolymitana.
